BANKING, FINANCIAL SERVICES & INSURANCE (BFSI) :

CASE I :

CLIENT: A leading financial services organization with presence across 17 countries.
Requirement: Chief Financial Officer for the UK operations from a leading banks.
Process: The client approached Kadman with the mandate of finding the CFO for their UK operations. The capacity demanded an extremely competent managerial person with very high in the financial structure, corporate cash management, treasury management, risk assessment, mitigation and lending practices. The position has great significance witnessing the high liquidation of net-worth.
Our BFSI recruitment specialists did a mapping first and identified few talented professionals with strategic and operational expertise to help drive and sustain the business during challenging times. The candidates were put through well-researched psychometric tests to evaluate whether their functional and leadership competencies matched the clients workforce standard. Eventually, one of the candidates from Kadman was hired by the client as their CFO for UK Operations.

CASE II :

CLIENT: One of the oldest financial organizations in the Middle East having presence in 32 countries across the globe, having more than 850 offices big and small. The client is a self regulatory organization and has high value over the stock exchanges.
Requirement: for an Head - Treasury to spearhead fund.
Process: At a time many organizations in the Middle East were experiencing severe pressures on growth and lack of fund, the clients decided to enhance its fund. Kadman was already catering to the HR needs of the client, thus was also handed the responsibility to look for an able leader. The role demanded awesome contact and a spearheading personality.
Kadman took the challenged, studied the market scenario and then thought of giving an advertisement, with appropriate and attractive content in all leading national dailies. Thousands of appropriate and inappropriate applications followed. After a rigorous screening and assessment, Kadman specialist BFSI recruiters short-listed candidates to be reviewed by the client. A deep-rooted understanding combined with a meticulous approach of identification and screening ensured the selection of the most appropriate candidate.


ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE :

CASE I :

CLIENT: The client is a USD 400 million business conglomerate with successful operations in the Shipping Construction Material, Minerals, Chemicals and Renewable Energy industries in UK and abroad. The Group is managed by qualified and experienced industry professionals. The client is a pioneer in many of these areas and is hence one of worlds finest and most respected conglomerates.
Requirement: Recruiting a Executive Director - Finance for its Shipping Division, to based out of London, UK.
Process: The stringent challenge lay in finding the candidate was to have a degree in Chartered Accountancy, had to be the CFO in the last organization, that to from a shipping company and should be within the age group of about 53 to 55 years. Another major challenge was that the client was offering a CTC that was much lower than the market rate. CFOs of that age group and experience were at a much higher salary bracket. It was an extremely challenging assignment for Kadman. It was also very difficult because of the location constraints. Based on the market scenario and availability, our Specialists prepared a detailed report so as to provide a clear picture of the available talent pool and the cost of hiring such talent to the client. Based on the report given by us they finally increased the cost substantially to meet the CTC requirements of their final candidate. Both client and candidate were satisfied were satisfied with the quality and the cost. Thus we were able to complete the assignment successfully.

CASE II :

CLIENT: One of the leading international engineering, construction and project management contractor based at Dubai. The company has over 50 years of experience and is backed by dedicated, highly-skilled engineers providing quality services.
The Indian operations is an integral part of the groups global competitive strategy. The client has 3 offices in India. The Head office is in Chennai and there is one branch office in Kolkata, established in 2006. The combined staff strength of the 2 offices stands at 388 till April 2013.
Requirement: Head - Technical to be based in Kolkata.
Process: The location posed a challenge as senior candidates are not usually willing to relocate to Kolkata. The candidate should also have 20 years of experience in the EPC industry construction and must not be from a Real Estate Developer, rather from any middle level engineering consultant. The candidate should also posses an engineering degree in Civil with knowledge of ERP. Apart from this the candidate should have hands on experience in design, projects execution, commissioning and management and have potential to set up operations and ensure profitability within a stipulated time frame.
After a thorough mapping of the industry, Kadman EPC Specialists identified about 64 professionals in India and the Middle East at different levels and presented the 8 best candidates to the client.
The final selection was having about twenty two years of experience in project contract and office management. The candidate was well experienced in handling multiple projects, contractual matters and leading a team of project engineers. He was based out of Qatar with hometown at Bhubaneswar (Orissa, India) and wanted to relocate to Eastern India, which was win-win situation for both the client and the candidate.


INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY :

CLIENT: The client is an ITES provider, providing supply chain, procurement, accounting and healthcare solutions across banking, insurance, manufacturing and healthcare industry and is listed London Stock Exchange.
Requirement: Head - Operations for the Indian business unit.
Process: The client was looking for a competent professional to head their Operations in Hyderabad. Owing to our expertise in the HR domain and a long standing relationship with them, they retained us to help them find the right candidate. Our key responsibility was to identify a professional who could build multiple Centers of Excellence like contact centers, F&As and HROs across various metros in India. The challenge in the assignment was to find a competent middle aged professional with strong credentials and global exposure. The candidate also had to have the maturity to manage a large team and handle tactical internal and external customers.
The specialist Kadman team mapped profiles from BPOs and KPOs and other related industries from both Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. A lot of time, effort and focus went into sourcing right candidates with a cultural fit and matching their personal and professional aspirations to the role in question. Several organizations were targeted and after to-the-point validation and assessments a couple of profiles were short listed for the final discussions. Subsequently we found that a senior operations professional from one of the leading financial back office organizations in Bangalore fit the requirement perfectly. We successfully placed him as the head of the clients Hyderabad operations.


MANUFACTURING & HEAVY INDUSTRY :

CASE I :

CLIENT: The client is the world's seventh largest heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer and the world's fourth largest medium and heavy bus manufacturer.
Requirement: Vice President Product Development from an Indian multinational automotive manufacturer, to be based at Stafford, UK.
Process: The client specified Kadman to recruit the professional from few of the targeted organizations only . The candidate needed to be an expert in the field of Product Development and has to be very innovative with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and capable of handling a leadership role in the domain of Engine, Transmission and Chassis Designing.
The most challenging part of this executive search operation was reaching out to the specific candidates from tightly guarded R & D Department /Design Centres and Product Development departments. We conducted an exhaustive mapping of the automotive Tier-I MNC suppliers and OEM, to trace and identify the right fit. The right candidate was found and the post was filled successfully.

CASE II :

CLIENT: The client is a nationalized cement company at Qatar with expertise acquired through more than 100 years of research, discoveries and participation in countless construction projects. The Group's activities are divided into three sectors:

Requirement: The client had multiple positions for which they were looking for a search firm to work with on a non-retained and non-exclusive mode. Level of positions included Executive Director - Technical, Plant Head, Head HR and VP Purchase.
Process: Our first challenge here was to convince the british management, to agree to our terms. We faced other challenges in terms of quality and quantity delivery as well, within a very tight deadline. The client is not a well-known name in UK and hence we had to really educate the candidates about the brand. Beside this, the client was particular that the candidate has to have a high level network and work experience in the Exeter and Dover cluster. Our biggest challenge was the fact that clients internal HR team was also working on these positions. Hence we had to really connect the appropriate candidate at the fastest pace.
We were able to meet the clients stringent deadline and present them with 3 candidates profiles for the Executive Director - Technical, out of which 2 were shortlisted. The final candidate selected was from a leading cement manufacturer in UK. He is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of successful experience in the cement manufacturing industry, thus having fiscal, strategic, technical and operational leadership. The client was extremely satisfied with our work and the chosen candidate and subsequently with followed success in closing the other positions also.
